Barbara L. Harris Chiang is a member of the Queen's Bench where she currently serves as the Second Vice President (2007) and formally served as Secretary (2006), Assistant Secretary/Treasurer (2005), the co-chair of the Business Development Committee (2002 – 2004), and as a Director (2004). She is also a member of the San Francisco Bar Association. In law school she was awarded the Dean's Academic Achievement Award for the Highest Grade in Torts.

She was also a member of the Urban Lawyer Staff. Prior to law school, she worked as an investigator for the Consumer Protection Division of the Missouri Attorney General's Office.

She has been a speaker for Lorman Education Services (2004 – 2007) presenting topics such as at-will employment, sexual harassment and lawful terminations.
