Legal Experience

17 years litigation experience in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies such as the Department of Fair Employment & Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Labor Commission, California Employment Development Department and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Representation of employers in a wide variety of employment litigation including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, FEHA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA and privacy rights.

State and federal appellate work.  Represented the prevailing party in Morse v. North Coast Opportunities, 118 F.3d 1338 (9th Cir. 1997).  (Court of Appeal affirmed motion to dismiss Title VII action on grounds that the defendant-employer did not act under color of state law and awarded attorneys’ fees to the employer.)

General employment advice, preventative counseling, negotiation and preparation of employment agreements and other documents, trainings and seminars.
